We are Kori & Alex, a couple of nature-loving folks who have been living and learning in the vibrant jungles of Costa Rica for over 10 years. During our time here, we have developed a deep reverence, admiration and curiosity for the vast diversity of life that surrounds us. Working with community members from all walks of life has introduced us to knowledge and insights into traditional and modern medicine. This has ignited in us a passion to share these gifts with the world while always continuing to learn more.
Our life paths led us to study medicinal plants and anatomy which introduced us to a wide array of other natural healing modalities. Our town "Puerto Viejo" meaning "Old Port" is abundant with healers educated in many different practices. We all share our gifts and wisdom, in hopes of helping each other get to our most optimal state of being. Our space has long since been a hub for friends to gather and work with a variety of natural healing practices.
Now, we are opening our doors to you. Whoever you are.

Our Intentions
Our name is Selva Alquimia, selva meaning jungle and alquimia meaning alchemy. The naming of our space is intentional. We believe that the jungle can act as a catalyst for us to alchemize and transform our lives for the better. The jungle is not for the fainthearted, she can be an intense initiator. With the strong rain, hot sun, and diverse rainforest creatures coming to you as teachers... you are bound to feel a shift in yourself rather quickly.

We are here to witness and help you during the transformations you wish to achieve, remembering that healing comes in many forms, and that we can go farther together. Beyond just the services we provide, we strive to be here for you as companions since we know that the deepest of healing can come from sharing our stories without judgement. Community support, normalizing lived experiences, being vulnerable and curious...these are all ingredients for getting more comfortable in ourselves and staying resilient and healthy.
We understand that everyone’s needs are different, which is why we offer personalized sessions and programs that are tailored to fit your unique needs and lifestyle. Our offerings draw from both ancient wisdom and modern science to create innovative and effective solutions for your personal wellness goals.
With the jungle acting as our main teacher and supporter, we are able to shed what no longer serves us, ultimately stepping into a healthier and wiser version of ourselves. It is an honor to walk this path with you.
What We Provide
Consider us your home away from home as you step into our humble and cozy space that is Selva Alquimia. While immersed in the magic of the jungle, you will indulge in a wide range of treatments, such as hydrogen therapy, ice baths, and herbal steam saunas, all of which are designed to leave you feeling refreshed, renewed, and rejuvenated. You may opt to choose only one therapy, or can combine them either in one session or as a multi-session treatment plan.
We provide a comfortable, expansive experience that allows you to try new therapies while also receiving education on different topics such as medicinal plants, nutrition, mind and body practices, biohacking techniques and much more.
We strive to uphold a sense of respect and reverence for the individual, the environment, and ancient traditions in all that we offer. If any of this calls to you, please drop us a line so we can get to know you and to see how our offerings can benefit you on your journey.
How to work with us
We are happy to offer individual sessions or packages for each therapy, as well as combined treatment programs for all of our offerings. We also are happy to collaborate with retreat organizers to have their participants come and experience the services we provide. This is a great way to bring freshness and fun to your retreat as your participants will get to learn more about Puerto Viejo, the plants that grow here, and the other practices we share.
Lastly, we also offer the option for personal retreats for those wanting a more immersive experience. These retreats allows us to develop a multi-day treatment plan where we can go deeper with you on your journey.
